WORK THE MOVIE

A 4 minute black and white film about the photographs I imagined, and the assignments that got away. Each image was created individually in Midjourney and made to match a style that I developed years ago in the golden age of darkrooms and street photography.

I know this is a business website, where photography is supposed to be the sensible answer to every problem. But curiosity has always been part of the work.

Maybe it began with finger paints, then colored pencils, then all the other tools that somehow carried us into the middle of this great digital upheaval.

If I remember right, every new medium, photography included, arrived with someone solemnly announcing the end of all art as we knew it.

AI is certainly controversial, especially in our visual world. But what can I say? I love making pictures, and after all these years, I still have not found enough ways to do it.

And no, I have not gone over to the dark side.
