For thirty years, I’ve photographed people for advertising agencies, companies, hospitals, and institutions. I’m offering a limited number of personal portrait sessions in my Newbury studio. These sessions are for individuals, couples, artists, business owners, and anyone who wants the dog in the picture.

The sitting

Comfortable and unhurried

Introductory sitting: $225.

If being photographed has never been your favorite thing, you’re in very good company. There’s no performance expected here. We work at a pace that gives you time to settle in.

I schedule only two sittings on studio portrait days, so neither of us needs to feel rushed. That doesn’t mean a sitting takes hours. It simply means we have enough time to make a good portrait.

What’s included

The sitting includes a private online gallery for viewing and selection, along with one fully retouched, high-resolution file of your choice. The sitting fee is due on the day of the appointment.

Additional files

Additional fully retouched, high-resolution files are $50. each.

Prints

Finished prints are available separately and are made to archival standards. The first print, up to 10 inches on the long side, is $75. Additional prints of that size from the same file are $25. each. Other sizes are available on request.

A few common questions

Can I bring someone with me?

Of course. You are welcome to bring someone whose company helps you feel comfortable.

Do I need to know how to pose?

Not at all. I’ll give you as much direction as you need, and we’ll keep it natural.

What should I wear?

Wear something that feels like you. Simple clothing and solid colors usually photograph well. We can talk about clothing before the sitting.
